About Me

I received my Masters in Social Work from Fordham University in New York in 2003.  I graduated from the University of Colorado in 1992 with my Bachelor's degree in Psychology.

During graduate school I interned at Identity House, a counseling center for the LGBT population. Some of the most rewarding work I have done has been working in the New York City homeless shelter system, first working with physically disabled adults and then with dually diagnosed women. I've been able to support clients dealing with the most garden variety challenges (coping with complicated relationships, feeling 'stuck' in frustrating patterns) to the most challenging and severe of circumstances and symptoms, including domestic violence and addictions. From these experiences, I have come to believe that with help, all people, regardless of their experiences in life, have the ability to find the right answers.

I love the work that I do and feel honored to be a part of the lives of the people I work with.
